In 1981, Frank Cirocco illustrated the short comic included with the Atari 2600 game Yar's Revenge. 任天堂作品のPVはどれも丁寧な作りとなっているのは間違いない。映像作品として成り立っている。
サムスは喋らないイメージが強く、このPVの感情むき出しなことで違ったキャラ像が沸く。

この流れでタイトルを出すのはちと失礼かもしれませんが、ファニーマウスとかマウサーとかバグマンとかバルバルークの伝説とかマスタッシュボーイとか、あの辺のゲームを思い出すんですよ。必ずしも遊びとして似ているということではないのですが、ああいう懐かしさがある。

これ誤解を恐れずに言えば、作り的には80年代のあまりヒットしなかった数多のアクションゲームを彷彿とさせますね。現代の充分なスペックと妥当な操作性とスピード感と当たり判定で作られたことで、当時のゲームのリベンジ感があるとでも言うか。
