「Missingはクトゥルフがモチーフになっているという話を目にした記憶があります。神野陰之と名乗っていた彼のモチーフはあるのでしょうか？」
確かにMissingは「俺ならこう書く」の俺クトゥルフですが、神野はかの神話モチーフではありません。

神野陰之は『稲生物怪録』の魔王、山本五郎左衛門がベースです。直接のモデルというより「魔王なるもの」について考えた切っ掛けみたいなものになりますが。不意に現れて人の心を試す魔国の王。そこに私の魔法使い観やら永生者観やら異界観やらのイメージが混ざって出来ています。

稲生物怪録が出発点なら、それに倣って「じんの」ではなく「しんの」と読ませた方が良かったかも・・・などとだいぶ後になって思ったりも。（稲生物怪録では山本五郎左衛門のライバルとして神野悪五郎という魔王の名が出てくる。山本も読みはサンモト。異界では名前の読みが普通と違う）

なお私が書いたのはMissingよりも夜魔が先で、夜魔がMissingのスピンオフではなく実際は逆で、Missingは俺の考えた俺クトゥルフですが夜魔はそうではありません。つまりそもそも、神野は俺クトゥルフの範疇外のキャラクターなのです。
