崇徳院に「崇徳」の名をおくったのは学者の清原頼業公とされます。頼業公は私とも親交がありました。清原、でわかるとおり清少納言の一族の出です。清原頼業公は現在京都右京の「車折神社」に祭られています。あそこは芸能の神様でも有名の場所。

「椿説弓張月」のラストでは為朝が死後の世界に旅立つ際、天界から為朝の弟や妻、家来達が「讃岐院の迎え」として登場します。これは讃岐院（崇徳院）が怨霊の世界ではなく死後の安らかな世界に上がられている、ということ。

さりげなーく「崇徳院は怨霊ではなく神様になりました」というメッセージがこめられているのではと。滝沢馬琴も作品の中で崇徳院を成仏させています。「雨月物語白峯」でも怨霊のままではありますが最後に西行が見る崇徳院の表情は穏やか。

太平記の崇徳院は黄金の鳶、これまでの怨霊とされた人々と愛宕山怨霊サミットならぬ「日本転覆させてやろうぜ会議」をひらいていますがここでも愛宕山太郎坊は「なんでも怨霊(天狗)の仕業というわけではありません。人が道を外れて災いを作っているのです」と語っています。

崇徳院を知って、「怨霊としてだけではなく別の姿で、できれば救いを持って描きたい」と思うのは古典から受け継がれてきたものなのかもしれません。 つまりなにがいいたいかというとなんでもかんでも新院の祟りとか呪いのせいするの、イクナイ！！
