市場にまだ出てきてませんよね。2018年産のカルグーリーのリチウムペグマタイト鉱物。以前、鉱物採集フィールドガイドの写真かなんかで見ましたが、すごい綺麗なヤツですよね。

で、西オーストラリア州にあったリチウムペグマタイト鉱山が再開発された。ここは、以前草下氏が書いてたと思うが、リチア輝石（スポジューメン）を多量に産する鉱山だったがコスト割れで閉山し、そのままリチウム抽出施設は打っ棄られていたらしい。ここを再稼働し、多量のリチア輝石を処理した。

リチウム資源は 2015年ぐらいまでは、南米などにある塩湖塩原の鹹水から採取していた。これは資源開発としては楽なのだが、濃縮に天然蒸発を利用するために、鹹水を汲み上げてからリチウム分離まで１年ぐらいかかるらしい。2016年になると中国で自動車用リチウムイオン電池向け大需要が生じた。

上司の質問の意図には後輩は育休明けて一週間でお子さんが熱を出してしまったため、復帰が早すぎたのか、人員の見直しをした方がいいのか、という諸々が含まれていたのでした。こんなにバズるとは思わずだいぶそぎ落とした発言になりました。
