しかし、感染蔓延下でのマスク装着でコミュニティレベルでの感染抑制ができるとのエビデンスが徐々に揃いつつあるのを目の当たりにして本当に驚いている。例えば季節性インフルエンザの流行期でもマスク装着率を上げれば不顕在感染者からの感染拡大が有意に防げるんだろうか。

感染症対策はとにかく泥臭いんですよ。手洗いとアルコール消毒を徹底する、体調が悪い時は会社や学校を休む、感染を防ぐために三密を防ぐ、マスクをする、予防できる病気ではワクチンを打つ。AI でシミュレーションなどと見栄えの良いことを言う前にこういうことを徹底できるようして欲しいです。

むしろ起きてる側の親のそばに寝てる子を置いとくと、やたら明るい部屋に寝ることになったり、度々部屋を明るくしたりする必要がでちゃったりするので、そう考えると暗視カメラは「暗くしたまま」の状態を保てるとも言える

「カメラで監視」というと聞こえが悪いけど、じゃあカメラがなかったらどうするかと言ったら、結局は定期的に様子を見に行くか、自分の近くに置いとくか、自分がそばにスタンバイするかくらいしかないわけで。遠隔じゃないってだけで、「目を届かせる」ことはつまり「監視する」ことになるし。

あと暗視カメラ使ってると、
(1)眠りが浅くなってもぞもぞ体が動く
(2)目が覚めて目が開く
(3)寂しい/空腹で泣く
の、(1)の段階で起きてくるのに向けて準備できるし、(2)の段階ですぐに迎えに行けるので、泣きごえが出る前に応じれるってのも結構便利。お互い疲れない

うちは寝室にクイーンサイズのベッドとベビーベッドを一緒に置いてるんだけど、
(1)赤子さんをベッドに寝かせた状態で片方が寝落ちしてるときに、もう一人が暗視カメラ越しに赤子さんの眠り具合を確認できる→寝室は暗さを保ったままなので伴侶は熟睡できる
