けれど、日本だけが1回のみ接種なんてことをしたら、今後、免疫の持続期間や変異株への効果などについての海外のデータが全く参考にならないというわけの分からない事態になり、政策が立てられなくなります。

一方、米国では、科学的根拠に忠実に接種間隔は６週間までを許容し、２回接種を推奨しています。
「政治」「公平さ」などではなく、科学的根拠をその指標にするならば、接種間隔をどこまで広げるかの議論はできたとしても、２回目の接種を「やめ」る議論は現時点ではできないのではないかと思います。
