天然林では全くセミ幼虫を食べるための掘り返しがみられず、掘り返しは人工林でのみ観察されました。また、セミ幼虫の羽化密度はカラマツ・トドマツ・アカエゾマツ人工林で天然林よりも著しく高いという結果が得られました。
