奨学金返済完了の通知が届く。泣きたいほどうれしい。大学院を出てから正規の仕事が見つからず、台湾でいくつも仕事をかけもちしながら今からは考えられないほど円高だった日本に毎月お金を送る苦しさと惨めさは、今でもはっきり覚えている。一日も早く奨学金の返済が不用になる社会になってほしい。

山じゃなくて花火大会での出来事だけど、目の前にいたおじさん二人組が、新聞紙を敷物に出店で買ってきた食べ物やビールなどを食べた後で、花火が終わったら散らかしたごみを全く気に留める様子もなく帰っていってしまい、後ろにいた私たちグループはポカーンとしてしまった（仕方がないので片付けた）

学生運動と労働運動が分断されたというのも、かなり違うと思いますよ。私は1960年代後半から動労千葉の津田沼機関区で通学し始めたんですが、どんなに混雑しても窓ガラスが割れても、順法闘争期に入る前は、通勤客は「我慢」してました。労働条件を改善しようとしてくれてるんだ、「我慢」しようって。

4回目のワクチン注射受けたんだけど、看護師さんに「来週からオミクロンに効くやつになるんですね」と聞いたら、「全然情報が入ってこないから、いつから打てるのかわかんないんですよね〜」とのこと。

例えば、軍事的緊張が高まった時に外務大臣が直接話そうにも、相手国からしてみれば交渉内で駆け引きに使うネタが防衛側に筒抜けになるようにしか見えないし、外交的対立が起きている時に軍事衝突を避けようと国防担当者同士で話そうにも、相手からは現場の危機回避が外交利用されかねないように見える

何がヤバいかって、大臣辞任や何らかの緊急事態における暫定人事ではなく常任というのもヤバいけど、交渉を担当する者と強制手段を担当する者が同じということ。政府内で議論が成立しにくくなるし、対外的にも緊張が高まった時の外交的回避が困難。
