？なんでセキセイ以外も感染するのにセキセイインコの雛病って言うの？
セキセイインコの幼鳥が感染すると大半の個体が発症するからです。（ウィルスに狙い撃ちされている）
セキセイインコ以外の種類では感染したとしても発症することは少なく、そのままウィルスを保持して暮らします。

BFDは成鳥したあとも普通に感染します。でも成鳥になってからは感染後の発症はほぼ無く（全くないとは言えない）健康な個体となんら変わりません。
でもウィルスは持っているので他の鳥（特に幼鳥、若鳥）との接触は厳禁です。

僕が思う生態系のイメージって全体が見えない機械。一つの種が複雑な形の歯車。ひとつの歯車が他の歯車を回してる、それが連鎖する。一つ抜けたら回らなくなる歯車が出るかもしれない。出ないかもしれない。いつか機械が壊れる歯車を抜いてしまうかもしれない。でもそれは複雑すぎて誰にもわからない。
