なぜ日本は公共交通機関の独立採算が自明視されるか、欧米の例を見るとだいたいどこかで民営の都市交通が行き詰まって公営化し、そこで「採算には必ずしもこだわらない」体制になるようなのですが、日本はそこで民営都市公共交通が「生き残っちゃった」のが一因かと思います。
