天然林では全くセミ幼虫を食べるための掘り返しがみられず、掘り返しは人工林でのみ観察されました。また、セミ幼虫の羽化密度はカラマツ・トドマツ・アカエゾマツ人工林で天然林よりも著しく高いという結果が得られました。

今回のウミウシでの発見で個人的に興味深かったのは、このウミウシの自切は、天敵に襲われることが頻繁にあるからこそ進化して維持されてきた形質に違いないという点ですね。一般にウミウシは有毒で、あまり天敵がいないという印象だったので。何が天敵なんでしょうね。

推察ですが、変異株のスクリーニング検査は各自治体で行っており、愛知県は手元にある結果、厚労省は各都道府県にヒアリングしまとめた結果と思われますので、どちらかと言えば、大村知事の方が正確かもしれません。
知事記者会見などで記者が確認してくれれば良いのですが。
