実際に横断歩道で停止してあげると、まさか停まってくれるとは思わなかったとばかりにひどく驚く人や、足腰弱ってそうなのにこちらに気を遣って大急ぎで渡ろうとするお年寄りを何度も目にする。本来最優先されるべき歩行者をそこまで委縮させたのは、これまで取り締まりを怠ってきた警察の責任。

歩行者保護の目的なら隠れて取締をするより警察官が横断歩道に立って指導するべき。
違反→取り締まるという流れは一時的に歩行者を危険に晒す事に他ならない。
