And this is to say nothing of the researchers actively working on those specimens. Although no-one has been hurt (to our current knowledge), so much personal and professional investment in these specimens may have just turned to ash. Many lives turned upside down by this event.

@DorckeyHellmice They'll expand and crack in high temperatures, and of course were at risk from falling debris. I don't know if you've seen post-fire photos, but the NM has been gutted - barely any roofing left, collapsed floors etc. Anything inside was probably totalled one way or another.

正直、人災で歴史的な遺産や自然遺産が失われるのは我慢ならない。
年数にして200年、収蔵品にし2000万点以上の物がなくなるとか痛い損失とかのレベルじゃない。
もう研究できないし、研究を待ってた標本もない。
一瞬の華やかな行事にお金使った代償がこの有り様じゃ、やりきれんわ。

いよいよ台風が近付いてきて、風雨が強くなってきた。まだ南から東よりの風なのに、北向きポーチは全面濡れてる。さすが台風。でもぶら下がってるクジラはほとんど濡れてない。そして揺れてるのは寛骨だけ。スズメはクジラに入ってる様子。ともかく台風の日はフェスティバルはできなさそう。

Ａ.前輪タイヤの辺り、エンジンルームの下に上へと上がれる隙間があるので、そこから登っています。私の車はローダウンしていますので尚更 子猫が地上から登りやすいみたいです。

Ａ.動画の車は滅多に動かさないので、エンジンに巻き込んだりはないです。たまにボンネットをあけて部品が外れたりしていないか、子猫が挟まったりしていないか確認しています。子猫がいないこと、また全ての子猫が車から離れたのを確認してからたまにエンジンをかけています。

Ａ.車以外にも物置の下や使わなくなったソファを置きその前にすだれをかけたりして、子猫と親猫の待避所にしています。しかし、やはり車のエンジンルームがお気に入りみたいで朝夜の寒い時間帯は中で団をつくって寝ています。

Ａ.親猫が私や家族に懐いており、日中も家の敷地内で子育てをしていますのでスプレー等を使い子猫を無理矢理 追い出すことはできず、家の近くが道路ということもあり、追い出して轢かれ死んでしまうのは嫌なので追い出すことはしません。

ただ、今の停電状況を関電などが把握できてない？ほうに、みんな不安がってる。サイトも13:30から更新ストップで、停電通知もシステムが故障らしい。SNSで町名まで出してる人のツィートで、ようやく市内でも停電してる地域がわかる状況。

停電の博物館にいても仕事にならないので、植物園の様子を見て回り中。ものすごい事になってる。根元から倒れた木もあるけど、途中で折れてるのが目立つ。控えめに数えても、１６ヶ所で、倒木や大枝が道をふさいでいる。林内は倒木や落枝で足の踏み場もない。明日、営業出来るのか？

４日午後７時ごろ、栃木県壬生町で、道路脇の木が強風で倒れて電線が切れた。付近ではおよそ７００戸が停電しているということで、東京電力が復旧作業を進めている。壬生町が隣接する宇都宮市では午後６時２５分に、最大瞬間風速２３.９ｍの風が観測されていた。

しかし，鉄道の「計画運休」に見るように，影響(被害)を避けるという取り組みと，それによる被害軽減効果も多分出てきていると思うな．「こんな被害が!」「避難しない!」ばかり言うのではなくて，軽減できている部分を具体的に見ることも重要だなと思っている．

外来種駆除は土木や環境行政が事業化すべき。教育や福祉のリソースを割くべきものではない。
生物多様性の一部としての外来種の普及啓発と、駆除事業には線引きが必要だ。
