玄関の階段付近の石畳に生えていた雑草、入居直前に全部刈り取られていたんだけど、この2ヶ月で猛暑にもかかわらず繁殖しており、最近は階段の手すりにツタが巻き付いてきた。人間が「ほら、巻きつけよ」みたいに手助けしないと生きられない、という勝手なイメージがあったけど実際には力強いんだな…

医者ができる対処はほとんどないと思っています。そもそも我々側の病院に来てくれませんし、短時間で解決できるようなものではないです。カルト宗教にハマった人への対処に近く、社会として高度な対策が必要。日本社会で対策を考えるべきだと思います。自業自得と言って放っておくのはあまりに可哀想。

この方も気づいていますが、ツワナ人は昔「西ソト人」という表記がされていたこともあるくらいで、レソトに住むソト人とはかなり近縁の民族です＜RT レソトとボツワナの言語が近い

水田やため池は人工的な環境なんだからそこの生き物など保全する必要なし、みたいなことを言われたことあるけど、こうした氾濫原湿地を人間様が破壊し尽くしてつくった水田やため池になんとか移住して生き残ったのがそうした生き物なので、そういう意味では人間様が保全する必要は大いにあるのである。

それからたぶんそうした中に、水田やため池の生き物は人間が水田やため池をつくることで生きられるのだから古い外来種、という誤解も生じるのだろうと思う。そんなことはなくて、人間様が水田やため池をつくるはるか昔から日本列島の氾濫原湿地で生き続けてきた湿地帯生物が大多数である。

@strigidae96 人間により国内の大部分で氾濫原が失われて以降、稲作による攪乱が疑似氾濫原をつくっていたわけですが、その稲作が中止されるのであればそれに代わる攪乱、すなわち伐採や草刈によって休耕地を攪乱することが、こうした環境に暮らす生物を保全するために必要であろうと考えます。
